Driver dead in fiery single-car crash on I-20 in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A fiery single-car crash led to the driver’s death on I-20 EB Saturday morning, Atlanta police say.

At around 2:35 a.m., officers were called to the interstate near Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., where they found a crashed Toyota RAV4. The 54-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe the victim lost control of the car after a possible tire blowout. The vehicle hit the center wall, veered off the road, struck a tree and caught on fire…
