Superman Building Cost Jumps to $325M Before Vote

Rhode Island Commerce Corporation officials are scheduled to vote Monday on new state financing for the Superman Building in downtown Providence, where the estimated cost of converting the vacant tower into apartments has risen to more than $325 million.

The agency’s Access to Capital Committee meets at 3 p.m. on August 24, according to the meeting record filed with the Rhode Island Department of State. The full Commerce Corporation board is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. the same day. As of today, no vote had been taken…
