El Dorado wildfire 80% contained as dry conditions fuel fire risk across Arkansas

UNION COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) — Wildfires are burning in Union County, and state forestry officials believe lightning may have ignited some of the flames.

Arkansas State Forester Kyle Cunningham said crews are not ready to call the El Dorado fire 100% contained. The fire is about 80% contained and has burned 2,328 acres, according to the Arkansas Department of Agriculture.
