FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Excitement is building Monday morning as students prepare to return to classrooms across Fairfax County for the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
Nearly 180,000 students are expected to return to Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) on Aug. 24, according to school board at-large member Ryan McElveen.
