An Oxford man has filed a product liability and negligence lawsuit against Lowe’s and a power tool manufacturer after a sanding attachment blade allegedly detached and flew into his leg while he was working on his home deck.
The complaint was filed on July 28, in Sumter County Circuit Court by Sam Caccamise against Lowe’s Companies, Inc., tool manufacturer DB Holdings, LLC, and the manager of the Lowe’s at Trailwinds Village in Wildwood.
According to court records, Caccamise purchased a Diamabrush Diamond grit 4.5-inch grinding and sharpening wheel sanding tool from the Lowe’s store located at 5630 Seven Mile Drive on June 13, 2025.
