Imagine recovering from a challenging medical condition in the comfort of home. AnchorHealth Home Care Services, which is based in Brooklyn, NY, and serves four states, is making this a reality for some through its traumatic brain injury (TBI) waiver program.
The Medicaid-funded program in New York state is designed for individuals who require higher levels of care, oversight and supervision who typically would require a nursing home level of care, explained Esty Komarovsky, Anchor’s NHTD waiver program director.
“At Anchor, we provide home care services through specially trained home health aides, and we thoughtfully match each participant with an aide based on their clinical needs, preferences, and factors such as language,” she told McKnight’s Home Care Daily Pulse. “Our care coordination team takes the time to understand each individual’s unique circumstances so we can provide personalized, consistent, and high-quality care.”…
