REPUBLIC, Mo. — Public school districts across Missouri are preparing for a major shift in state oversight as the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education works to implement a new A-through-F accountability grading framework.
Established by Governor Mike Kehoe under Executive Order 26-01, the letter-grade system is scheduled to be formally submitted for adoption by the State Board of Education in September. Once approved, the letter grades will be added on top of Missouri’s current accountability system, known as MSIP 6.
