LYON COUNTY, Iowa — A teenager was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in northwest Iowa over the weekend.
2 injured in Sunday night shooting at Park Fair Mall in Des Moines
An Iowa State Patrol crash report states that on Sunday at around 7: 37 p.m., the 16-year-old was driving a Yamaha FS6-SHG 600 bike eastbound on Iowa Highway 9, northwest of Larchwood, when he attempted to pass a vehicle but lost control. The report goes on to say that the motorcycle crashed into the ditch and the teen was thrown.
The teen was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries via air ambulance. According to the crash report, the teen was wearing a helmet.
