SUMMIT COUNTY (WJW) — Summit County Public Health made an announcement Monday: Do not eat wild mushrooms.
In a release from SCPH, the organization reminded residents that the recent wet weather will lead to more wild mushrooms growing throughout the county, especially in yards.

The organization stated that some varieties of wild mushrooms found in Ohio are extremely poisonous and, in some cases, deadly if eaten. SCPH advised keeping vulnerable populations, like children and pets, away from wild mushrooms.
