WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man was hospitalized, and officers took three people into custody after a Sunday night shooting in Southeast D.C., officials said.
The investigation began just minutes after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, when Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting in Anacostia, in the 1900 block of 16th Street SE.
There, officers found a man with gunshot wounds, according to police. EMS crews arrived and transported the man — who was conscious and breathing — to the hospital for treatment.
