Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead outside an East Hollywood church Sunday night.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the 4300 block of Melrose Avenue just after 10 p.m. and found the victim on a sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds, officials confirmed to KTLA.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Details remain extremely limited, but investigators said the victim had been walking with another man after leaving a nearby liquor store. The witness told investigators he was walking ahead of the victim when he heard several gunshots.
