Community members gathered at Nesbit Lanes in Plum for the second annual “Strike Out ALS” fundraiser to support local resident Matt Tomlinson.
Tomlinson, a Plum High School graduate, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), formerly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, nearly three years ago.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help the family purchase a conversion van. The specialized vehicle is needed so Tomlinson’s family can transport his motorized wheelchair and travel together more easily…
