LITTLE ROCK, Ark. —A lightning strike damaged a historic Little Rock home Monday morning, forcing a family to escape spreading smoke and flames.
The Little Rock Fire Department responded at 7:40 a.m. to the home in the 1200 block of South Louisiana Street.

Morgan Leyenberger said she was inside the home with her husband, Kyle, their child and their dog when they smelled smoke coming from the back of the house.
The family saw the fire and got out safely. No injuries were reported.
