UNION COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) — Rainfall Monday offered some relief from Arkansas’ prolonged dry conditions, but fire officials warn it is not enough to eliminate the wildfire threat as 66 counties remain under burn bans.
Across southern Arkansas, brown grass, dry leaves and windy conditions have created an environment where fires can ignite and spread quickly.
