Construction Begins This Month on Third Eppley Airfield Skywalk

As part of the Eppley Airfield’s Build OMA terminal expansion project, the Omaha Airport Authority is adding a new central pedestrian skywalk, connecting parking garage to the terminal. Construction is scheduled to begin August 31, and is expected to be completed in 2028.

The central skywalk will become the airport’s third skywalk between the garage and the terminal. It will connect level 3 of south garage to level 2 of the new central pavilion, according to an Omaha Airport Authority press release, allowing passengers to conveniently walk directly from the garage to the entrance of the new centralized security checkpoint.

The project also includes renovations of the airport’s two existing skywalks and construction of new elevators in the south garage adjacent to the new skywalk…
