Former TV news anchor found covered in blood after she stabbed her mother to death as she sat in bed enters plea

A former TV news anchor faces decades behind bars for stabbing her 80-year-old mother to death in her bed at their Kansas home.

Angelynn Mock, 48, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Anita Avers in Wichita, prosecutors said in a press release. She faces a life prison term when she’s sentenced on Oct. 5. Mock will be eligible for parole after 25 years.
