Gun seized, man jailed, after ‘disturbance’ call in Brentwood-Darlington

A “Priority Disturbance” dispatch sent East Precinct officers to S.E. 52nd Avenue near Malden Drive on the very Thursday that the August BEE was on the printing press – at 10 a.m. sharp – to what turned out actually to be a shots-fired incident.

Upon their arrival, officers found one of the reported shooters still at the scene; he cooperated with police. PPB Public Information Officer Sergeant Kevin Allen told THE BEE, “That man reported he was assaulted before he had fired shots; he declined medical treatment.”

The Portland Police “Enhanced Community Safety Team” responded to investigate the shooting – they seized a firearm, and collected spent bullet casings…
