Miami-Dade apartment building deemed uninhabitable after car crash

A car crashed into an apartment building in Opa-Locka on Monday afternoon, causing significant structural damage to the property.

A CBS News Miami crew documented the scene at Northwest 32nd Avenue and 132nd Terrace, where footage from the ground and Chopper 4 showed a gaping hole in the side of the building. Chunks of concrete were dislodged as a result of the impact.

The Opa-Locka Police Department reported that the driver of the vehicle suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Jackson North Medical Center. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash…
