NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The daily storm threat has returned to the forecast Tuesday (Aug. 25), and with it comes lower heat levels.
Expect a mixture of sun and storms as we transition into this new pattern. It will still be hot, with a high of 92, but that’s the lowest forecast high we’ve seen in 15 days. The storms that pop this afternoon will carry some intensity and might move slower, so heavy rain threats are increasing.
There may be a small decrease in storm coverage Wednesday, followed by higher rain chances Thursday and Friday. If those higher storm threats come into existence by late week, we might see highs stay in the 80s…
