CLEVELAND (WJW) — A Wickliffe nurse avoided prison time for the death of her 84-year-old patient, who was found frozen and unresponsive outside her nursing home on Christmas Eve in 2024.
Cuyahoga County court records show Amber Henderson, 33, of Wickliffe, took a plea deal, pleading guilty to misdemeanor counts of negligent homicide — amended down from a felony county of involuntary manslaughter — and patient abuse. Her felony count of tampering with records was dropped.
