Palm Beach Gardens Marriott worker charged with felony theft in alleged hotel robbery

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A Marriott hotel employee is accused of felony theft in Palm Beach Gardens, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

PBSO says that Candace Ann Goutermont, 37, was arrested and booked on Monday on charges stemming from an alleged July 9 hotel robbery.

The affidavit says that Palm Beach Gardens police responded to the Marriott hotel at 4000 RCA Blvd. after staff reported suspected employee theft. Specifically, the executive chef claims that he saw Goutermont leave through the loading area carrying a large trash bag, walking past the dumpster, and heading straight toward her vehicle, where she ultimately put the trash bag…
