EUGENE, OR — The Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit had an active morning Tuesday, serving search warrants with the help of the SWAT team, Drones, Crisis Negotiation Team, and the Investigations Division.
The search warrants stemmed from an ongoing investigation of narcotics dealing and felon in possession of a firearm, as well as an arrest made the previous day.
Monday, August 24th, the Street Crimes Unit stopped Raymond Wilkins, 52, of Eugene, as he left a sandwich shop on West 11th Avenue. The sandwich shop is part of an ongoing investigation. Wilkins was arrested for charges related to a previous investigation. A search warrant was served on his car. Wilkins was found to have individually packaged bags of fentanyl.
