Eugene Police Department took a woman into custody late on the night of Tuesday, Aug. 25, after police found her crashed down an embankment and described her as the most impaired driver they had ever seen from nitrous oxide use.
At 11:20 p.m., a Eugene police officer was called to a welfare check at Chambers Street and West 29th Avenue after a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle matched the description of a car that had been reported driving 2 miles per hour at Chambers Street and West 18th Avenue about two hours earlier, but officers were unable to locate it at that time.
