Dunwoody OKs clearing office site for 122 townhomes

DUNWOODY, Ga. — Members of the Dunwoody City Council have cleared the way for a townhouse development to be constructed on Ashwood Parkway and Ashford Dunwoody Road after voting to rezone the properties from office-institution to planned development at an Aug. 24 meeting.

Properties at 1200/1240 Ashwood Parkway and 4754 Ashford Dunwoody Road will be transformed from the current five-story office building and associated parking lot into a residential area offering a maximum of 122 townhomes in walking distance of the Perimeter Village and shopping centers that include Publix and Target.

The townhomes will be three-story models ranging from 1,850 to 3,000 square feet. Under the approved plan, no more than 10% of the townhome units will be available as rental homes…
