One person was killed and another was injured in a motorcycle crash Tuesday in New Rochelle.
Fatal motorcycle crash in New Rochelle
New Rochelle police responded to a report of a motorcycle crash with serious injuries at about midnight Tuesday in the northbound lanes of Pinebrook Boulevard near Beechmont Drive.
An investigation determined that the motorcycle had struck a metal bollard — a short, sturdy post used as a protective barrier — surrounding an electrical utility box along the side of the road, police said.
Driver pronounced dead
The motorcycle’s driver, a 27-year-old New Rochelle man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
