COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — It has been a wonderful Wednesday so far, and we are tracking isolated storms for the rest of the evening. A cluster of severe storms across Alabama will slowly moves southeast tonight, but most of these will weaken before moving in to our area.
Rest of the Week: This stalled front will bring more unsettled weather for the end of the week. Scattered storms will be possible both Thursday and Friday evenings.
Some of these storms may produce heavy rainfall, especially tomorrow afternoon. Parts of Central Georgia have a marginal risk (1/4) for excessive rainfall.
Temperatures will sit in the low-90s and upper-80s through Friday. Unfortunately, the humidity will cause heat index readings to be in the triple digits.
Weekend: While rain chances will still be in the forecast, we will trend drier for the weekend. The stalled front will move out early Saturday morning. Afternoon highs will still sit in the lower 90s.
Next Week: The above-average temperatures return next week. Highs will creep in the mid-90s again by Wednesday afternoon. When it comes to rain chances, we are tracking spotty afternoon showers…
