HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The recent vandalism of a Flock camera in Ottawa County’s Holland Township is part of what law enforcement calls a disturbing trend targeting technology intended to help police.
Kent County earlier this summer investigated several instances of vandalism to the automated license plate readers, including one on Post Drive NE in Plainfield Township that was targeted twice.

Ottawa County this summer started seeing it as well. About a half-dozen of the 36 Flock cameras have been targeted, Sheriff Eric DeBoer said. The cameras started going up in Ottawa County two years ago.
