GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — Public records show that the man charged in a 2024 stabbing at a Greenville bookstore has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
The Greenville County Public Index shows that 30-year-old Tyler Anthony Burris was found not guilty by reason of insanity on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
The 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office shad Burris will be institutionalized at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health for 120 days. A doctor will then recommend whether to keep him committed or send him to a less restrictive facility…
