Man arrested, charged with murder in connection with 2024 fentanyl death

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was arrested Aug. 21 in connection with a 2024 fentanyl distribution that led to the death of a man, according to Travis County court documents.

James Charles Johnson, 36, is facing a first-degree felony murder charge. KXAN has reached out to Johnson’s attorney for a comment. We are waiting to hear back.

Back on February 13, 2024, a man was found unconscious and not breathing inside a gas station on Parmer Lane, according to court documents.
