CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids officials are asking for the public’s help finding 71-year-old Patrick J. Trier, who disappeared during a trip to Utah. Officials say the search now has a possible connection to Cedar Rapids.
Trier was last seen in Salina, Utah, on Sunday, Aug. 16. The National Park Service said Trier may have camped at Goblin Valley State Park or near Moab before arriving at the Horseshoe Canyon trailhead at Canyonlands National Park on Aug. 17.
According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, Canyonlands National Park rangers said two hikers signed in at the Horseshoe Canyon trailhead on Aug. 17 using the initials “DDR” and listed their hometown as “C.R. IA.”…
