Three District 230 high schools have been named among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report, with Carl Sandburg High School ranking highest in Illinois at No. 75 nationally.
Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park ranked No. 106 in Illinois and No. 2,566 nationally. Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in Palos Hills came in at No. 109 in Illinois and No. 2,631 nationally.
The rankings evaluated nearly 18,000 public high schools across the country, weighing graduation rates, college readiness, Advanced Placement participation, and state assessment performance.
