(WSPA) — The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed rabies in a skunk from Greenville County and in bats from Greenwood and Pickens counties, exposing over a dozen pets.
Officials said all animals were submitted to DPH’s laboratory for testing Aug. 21, 2026, and were confirmed to have rabies Tuesday, Aug. 25.
