$1.65M sale of former Conway school property in question after board vote

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — The proposed $1.65 million sale of former Horry County Schools property to the Academy of Hope Charter School is in question after the school board rejected a request to extend the closing deadline.

The Horry County Board of Education approved the charter school’s purchase request on June 8 for the former Conway Education Center on Sherwood Drive in Conway, according to Horry County Schools.
