JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson City Council has yet to approve a proposed skate park in South Jackson.
The Nostalgics Skate Center has been under development for more than a year, with the zoning process beginning earlier this summer.

In July 2026, the Jackson Planning Board voted 8-0 to recommend the project to the City Council for approval. But when the proposal was presented to the council, it was put on hold; therefore, there was no new date for the project’s vote.
