KUNA, Idaho (CBS2) — A fast-moving wildfire burning south of Kuna prompted a large initial response Wednesday afternoon and forced the closure of a major road.
The Cave Fire was estimated at more than 1,500 acres about 4 miles south of Kuna Butte, according to the U.S. Wildland Fire Service Great Basin.
U.S. Wildland Fire Service Great Basin Unit 1 – Boise, working in coordination with the BLM Boise District, responded with “a strong initial attack” that included one overhead, four engines, two dozers, one investigator, one helicopter, one Air Attack and multiple retardant planes.
