YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Clinic has a warning for people who might be tempted to harvest their own mushrooms in the wild.

Recent damp weather has created ideal conditions for wild mushrooms to pop up across Northeast Ohio, and doctors are now seeing serious consequences.
According to Cleveland Clinic critical care physician Dr. Aanchal Kapoor, 13 people in the region have become ill after consuming wild mushrooms over the past 10 to 12 days.
