A residential building at 25 Fountain Street in Roxbury was broken into three separate times over a nine-day stretch in August, and Boston Police still don’t know who did it. Detectives from District B-2 are now asking the public for help identifying a man connected to all three incidents, releasing surveillance footage this week in hopes someone recognizes him.
The break-ins happened on August 11, August 15 and August 20, according to Newport Dispatch. In the first, an unknown male broke into the building and stole multiple packages. District B-2 officers responded to that initial report on August 13. The building in question is Saige on Fountain, a $14.3 million, 48,750-square-foot affordable homeownership development completed by Oxbow Urban, containing 40 income-restricted condo units, according to Dellbrook.
The second break-in unfolded between 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on August 15, when the same unknown male allegedly entered the property and tried to make off with a bicycle along with several other items before fleeing empty-handed after multiple unsuccessful attempts. That incident wasn’t reported to responding officers until three days later, on August 18, according to Patch. A third break-in followed on August 20, prompting officers to respond to yet another breaking and entering report at the same address.
Detectives Circulate Surveillance Footage
The Boston Police Department issued its public alert on Wednesday after receiving the separate resident reports, seeking assistance identifying the individual tied to all three incidents.
