Greenville man sentenced to 19 years for domestic violence

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A man was sentenced to 19 years after pleading guilty to domestic violence, according to the 13th circuit solicitor’s office.

31-year-old Markise Antwan Sullivan pleaded guilty to first degree domestic violence. Officials said the case originally went to trial, however Sullivan elected to plead guilty after three witnesses testified.

Eyewitness testimony says that at approximately 2:30 a.m. on January 6, 2023, Sullivan was seen standing over a woman in the road as she was screaming for help. The woman ran towards the witness for help, who attempted to get her to safety, but Sullivan followed after the two and entered the witness’s home. Sullivan then began attacking the victim, and grabbed her around the neck and head before dragging her out of the home…
