Arkansas Game and Fish Commission fisheries staff recently ran into a monster alligator gar that topped out at more than 6.5 feet long. The staffers were testing an electrified dozer trawl for silver carp when they met up with this native alligator gar. After the fish was safely measured and admired by the staffers, it was released back into its home waters.
