Greensboro is nearly halfway to a major housing goal, and city officials say the finish line may come sooner than anyone expected.
According to the city’s announcement, 4,071 homes are now either completed or under construction—surpassing 40% of the city’s target to add 10,000 new units by 2030, all in just 18 months.
“This is incredible news, but it’s just the beginning,” said City Manager Nathaniel “Trey” Davis. “It positions us to possibly meet our initial goal ahead of schedule—which is exactly what we need as our area continues to attract major employers and job growth.”
