FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE) – A partial lunar eclipse will occur this evening, and at a time that many Central California residents can stay awake to view. Unfortunately, clouds have streamed in today, and they may block the view of the eclipse.
Although the partial eclipse starts about 30 minutes earlier, heading outside after 8 p.m. will allow the sky to darken to see the eclipse better.
The maximum eclipse will be at 9:12 p.m. Mostly cloudy skies are expected, but there may be enough breaks in the cloud cover to catch a glimpse. The moon will take on a reddish color, putting on quite a show…
