RANCHO BERNARDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Rancho Bernardo High School was let out early from school Thursday due to extreme heat and AC issues.
The Poway Unified School District sent a statement and email to parents to alert them the night before the early departure.
In a statement the district saying: “Rancho Bernardo High School operated on a minimum day schedule today, with students dismissed at 1:15 p.m., due to continued extreme heat and portions of the campus air conditioning system not functioning as expected. Additional equipment is being installed today to better support cooling across campus. Assuming the necessary repairs and equipment installation are completed as planned, we expect the school to resume normal operations on Friday. Our Facilities team continues to work closely with the school to address the immediate issue while also advancing the broader HVAC work already underway on campus.”…
