PORTLAND –– ICE agents have arrested another Cumberland County Corrections officer, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce.
The officer, Nilton Ribeiro, is orginally from Angola. Joyce confirmed that he was arrested last Friday, but declined further comment.
DHS also confirmed the arrest, calling Riberiro “an illegal alien.” He first came to the United States on Sept. 8, 2022, and was only allowed to remain until March 7, 2023, DHS said in a statement…
