SLED investigating fatal Bluffton fire, official confirms

BLUFFTON, S.C. (WSAV) — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division’s Arson Investigation Unit is investigating the Bluffton fire that killed two people Tuesday, a spokesperson told WSAV Friday.

Bluffton Fire, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and SLED personnel responded to the Aug. 25 fire at a home on Cold Creek Pass. Two occupants, 71-year-old Mirjana Dizdarevic and 73-year-old Dzevad Dizdarevic died from smoke inhalation from the fire, officials reported.

Mirjana died on the scene and Dzevad died after being transported to a local hospital. They both received CPR after experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, fire officials said…
