DUI victim advocates push back against lawsuit seeking to keep Norman woman out of prison
OKLAHOMA CITY – Advocates for drunk driving victims are reacting to a lawsuit that was filed to keep a Norman woman out of prison. Sara Polston served 73 days of a 15-year prison sentence after nearly killing 20-year-old Micaela Borrego while driving drunk.
The federal lawsuit challenges a new law that does away with a GPS monitoring program for DUI offenders and could send Polston back to prison. Her attorneys argued the law violates her constitutional rights…
