More than a year after it was stolen, St. Paul police have recovered the bronze statue of Olympic gold medalist gymnast and beloved Minnesotan Suni Lee.
Officers made the shocking discovery while they were responding to an emergency call about shots fired just after 12:30 a.m. Friday on the 900 block of Forest Street.
When they arrived, investigsators found spent rifle casings outside of the residence, and swept the premises to make sure there were no victims inside. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities later got a search warrant, and recovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and the stolen bronze statue of Lee, which was still intact. The statue has been missing since July 31, 2025…
