‘We were stunned’: High water bills in Kechi will be investigated

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — An investigation will be launched into unexpectedly high water bills in Kechi.

On Thursday, the Kechi City Council agreed to seek an independent investigation after 28 customers complained of exorbitant bills.

“We were stunned when we opened our water bill,” one resident, Pamela Gearhart, told the council. “We have an almost $800 water bill.”
