ALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — An ex-employee at a Salt Lake City asset management company has been sentenced to jail for using her position to steal over $450,000.
25-year-old Laurel Llewellyn Gifford of Roy has been sentenced to serve 180 days in jail with 28 days credit for time served. She has also been placed on 36 months (three years) of probation, must register with the White Collar Registry, and has been ordered to pay restitution.
In February, she was charged with 68 felonies — 30 counts of theft by deception valuing over $5,000, a second-degree felony, and 38 counts of theft by deception valuing $1,499 to $4,999, a third-degree felony…
