WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – UPDATED AT 5:40 P.M.: The crews battling the 1,5085-acre Hawk Fire have been reduced by more than half to 249 firefighters after reaching 98% containment, according to an Official Hawk Fire Information Facebook post on Friday, Aug. 28.
About 73 residences are inside the evacuation area.
