Gun stolen in DeKalb more than 6 years ago found hundreds of miles away

A traffic stop led to an unexpected discovery involving a weapon that had been missing for more than six years, according to police.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department in Tennessee said officers stopped a vehicle on Lebanon Road near Lookout Drive after noticing a Move Over Law violation.

During the investigation, officers found an 18-year-old Nashville man in possession of a Glock handgun that had been reported stolen in DeKalb County on April 5, 2020.

Police also said the 18-year-old was found with marijuana. A 21-year-old Nashville man in the vehicle was also found in possession of marijuana, according to authorities…
